It is that time of year again where we install a new Worshipful Master, and all the officers of the previous year, move round a position, to ensure progression throughout the Lodge and to keep it democratised.

The Sussex Masonic Golf Association's first golf tournament of the year will be held at Mid Sussex Golf Course, where Masons from the home counties Provinces will compete in a Stableford format for the Secretariat Trophy.

Our third regular meeting of the year will see either another third-degree ceremony for on our Fellowcrafts or a passing ceremony for one of our Entered Apprentices. Either way, it promises to be a good night, with a full festive board.

Each summer, the Lodge hosts a lunch or BBQ where friends and family can all come together to share good food and company. Last years lunch was hosted at the Amex Stadium, and we will be looking to do something similar this year.

Each year the Arun Lodge holds a themed meeting, with the past couple of years being French and Italian, and cockney. It is still undecided what the theme will be for this year, but details will become available soon.

Each December, the Lodge holds a dinner at a local restaurant in Brighton with our partners, children, and friends to celebrate the festive period together outside of the Lodge room.

We will be expecting a bumper crowd to welcome us all back and we will be initiating a new candidate into Freemasonry

Our ladies weekend this year will be hosted in Windsor. This will include a fully festive board on Saturday night to honour and thank our wives and partners for letting us come out to play Masonry each month.

The Provincial AGM this year will be held at the Metropole Hotel in Brighton. This will see almost one thousand Sussex Masons descend on seafront to witness this year's appointments and promotions within the Provincial Grand Lodge of Sussex

Each year, we aim to visit a Lodge outside of England. 2019 saw us in Sweden, visiting a fantastic Lodge, and this year looks like a toss-up between Holland, Malta or Romania. Once confirmed, details will follow. Watch this space.
